Pedophile Rapist Could See Less Time in Jail Than Pot Smoker

There is a very sad story in the Plain Dealer telling of a Cleveland man that crawled through a window of an 11 year old girl’s home and raped her at knife point.

Consider this, chances are that this cretin will get out of prison before a pot smoker arrested also on a second offense under Ohio and Federal law.

In my opinion, we need to decriminalize the use of marijuana and add the death sentence to second offending pedophiles. To me that’s real justice, and economically prudent for our state’s fiscal problems. Let the pot smokers out and execute the child molesters is smart government.

Bailing Out Big-Spending Republican Politicians

I received this snippet this morning from The Buckeye Institute:

WTTE reports, “Ohio Governor Ted Strickland has been a vocal proponent of aid to cash-strapped states and said today on CBS’ ‘Face the Nation’ that he welcomes the help. He says Ohio will get about $8.2 billion in federal money.”

In Stimulating a Bad Idea, Buckeye Institute analyst Marc Kilmer writes, “It is one thing to be ignorant of history. It is quite another to willfully ignore the recent past. Governor Strickland and the legislators who kept spending in light of an almost-guaranteed decline in tax revenues now want someone to bail them out. They have failed in their duty to be good stewards of taxpayers’ money but do not want to face the consequences of their own actions. It is too bad that they are likely to receive positive reinforcement from D.C. for their fiscally irresponsible ways.”

Mr. Kilmer and The Buckeye Institute are not partisans, so let me say what needs to be said. We, the State of Ohio, are locked in a depression due to one party, the Ohio Republican Party. There is little debate concerning this statement and I for one will never vote straight Republican again. I will, as I did in the last election, seek out and vote for third party candidates.

The Ohio Republican Party ruined this state and this needs to be declared loudly and repeatedly.  Many knew we were in a depression and too many foresaw 2009, yet Senator Evans and Representative Husted allowed spending to remain constant and did nothing to reduce the size of our state government. These two men bear much of the responsibility for the ills of this state.

If I would offer one word to The Buckeye Institute; return to the Austrian foundation the Institute once had, and distance yourself from the ORP. Prosperity will come to the state through this economic discipline, and ill will only come by remaining close to the ORP.

InfoWars IS A Must

For the last fews years we have watched the US MSM spiral down the toilet, and as each year goes by, they loose more and more creditability. Much of the loss results from the industries general socialist bent and their collusion with the political class, but also their inability to conduct through and solid research. Interesting enough as the MSM belittles blogging the same people are turning to bloggers for their tips and ideas, and quite are few are actually sourcing blogs, go figure.

So the problem we are faced with is the acquisition of creditable information to make discerned decisions. While there are certainly websites that offer a good collection of various news and information (Breitbart, Drudge, What Really Happened), they are still tied to the MSM as their central supplier of news. However, there is one source that offers news and analysis above the “cut and paste” regurgitation, both in the audio and written format, that being the Alex Jones Radio Show and his companion website InfoWars.Com.

I came across The Alex Jones Show by happenstance a couple of years ago while I was driving through Athens Ohio. I happen to pick the radio station AM 770 in mid stride of one Alex’s interviews. The interview was a strange mix between the radio show “Coast to Coast” and the old 60 Minutes of the 1970s era. On my way back to Lancaster  I was able to continue receiving good reception without being drowned out by big Columbus AM radio stations; and I have been a fan since.

Now I have to tell you I don’t concur with everything Jones says, but what I have found is couple of items that keep me listening. First and foremost Jones brings to the air waves a wide array of subject matter experts on topics such as government, intelligence, occult, Illuminati, war, 9/11 truth, the United Nation, politics, health for example, that provide a wealth of information you are not going to get in the MSM. Some are well researched armatures, while some are professional researches that tend to write for academic journals. Jones doesn’t always agree with them, but he does give them the platform to offer real alternative points of views. This I believe is the central missing component in our current state of news and information. Now be prepared, Jones isn’t the best interviewer. Often he tends to talk over his guests, but in the end the guest gets most of their information out and you can go to other informational sources to follow up on the issue and find information from the guest, and Jones always links to the guest so it’s fairly easy to begin your own analysis.

Another item that keeps me coming back to Jones is his ability to “connect the dots.” Now I’ve worked in the analytical business for some time and I can tell you from my perspective he gets it right much of the time. He’s not perfect, but who is. Most intelligence analysts don’t get it right and if Jones gets it right 50% of the time he is doing better than our intelligence community. And he definitely is head and shoulders above the MSM; when was the last time you read any predictive analysis coming out of the New York Time? One point Jones always clearly makes is not to trust his word, but to seek out the facts and conclusions on your own; a point worth realizing in this day and age.

Now there are a few things I disagree with Jones, one being his subtle attacks on the Latin Rite, or the Catholic Church. Jones’ conclusion is certainly bent upon his own religious upbringing and biases (I won’t go into this right now). But I have to say that he always brings himself back to one simple and true statement for the audience; I paraphrase, that in all of these organizations, be it government or faiths or associations, there are good as well as nefarious people. So I generally get past his rants. Speaking of rants, he is certainly prone to them, but like any electronic media you have the choice to turn it to another station or simply off.

I listen to The Alex Jones Show as often as I can, I get the podcasts, and I go to his website almost everyday. The guy provides a mountain of information daily, he cares about liberty, and above all is not a nut case. He might not connect the dots as I would, but the bottom line is that he has “identified” many of the dots. That in itself is critical. Those that are on firmly in the fight for freedom and liberty cannot and should not go without tapping into Alex Jones. This nation’s wellbeing and our freedom is too important not to.

Never Privatize Prisons, Police or Defense

At the Ohio Freedom Alliance forum I responded to a weblog posting concerning the privatizing of the military or defense functions, of which I stated that we should never privatize three aspects of our government: prison, police and defense. As read through my response, I thought it would make a good weblog topic. So I cleaned it up a bit and offer a revised version here.

Currently our country has begun to privatizing prisons, police, and defense as we speak, but with disastrous effects to our civil liberties. (It should also be noted that European countries, chiefly the United Kingdom, hava been engaged in this as well.) Blackwater, a private army, is operating globally fighting wars overtly and covertly and has now started an intelligence division which will begin to collect information on US citizens. This company clearly is being directed by global elites. Also there are quite of number of private defense companies operating that are fronts for covert operations, working well outside the purview of our elected government.

Wackenhut operates prisons globally and has been connected to the CIA rendition operations. Moreover there is a strong connection between private publicly traded prisons and the high level of incarceration and stiff sentencing throughout the US. An interesting aspect found in the research has been that Democrats are voting for stiffer sentencing and aligning with these corporations just as often as the Republicans. It is common knowledge that the rise in privatized prisons has increased steadily with the “war on drugs,” in a very bizarre symbiotic relationship.

As far as privatizing of police and law enforcement functions, there is a litany of these companies slowly taking over the traditional rolls our various governments have administered. One glaring example was when Blackwater and SAIC were operating in New Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and yet no one from the various levels of Louisiana government knew about this. Can you grasp a private company taking on the roll of law enforcement and no elected official authorized it? Yet today there has never been one congressional or state hearing to rectify this abuse.

Abraham Lincoln said in the Gettysburg address, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” This is very important to understand because our government is not a person, but a body made up of citizens. Government is not a person and cannot make war, only people can.

If we the citizens of the United States turn over the responsibility for defense, policing, and the confining those that break our common laws, and hand it over to private companies, how long will it be before we turn over our court systems, and then how long will it be before we move into a fascist state? I would say just as fast as we are moving toward this collectivist Obama Kennedy Clinton state. The only difference is that the corporatist fascists would operate in place of a centralized government, but still controlled by the same group of elites.

If I have learned anything from my limited study of history, government, and philosophy, it is that the human element is predictable. We need a modicum of limited government and if we are not willing to stand by that responsibility, we are destined to be controlled by the elitist in either a fascist or collectivist form.
