No Nose Holding for Husted

24 June 2009 · Leave a Comment

Matt Hurley has a worthy comment about Ohio Republican Party’s version of the Breck Girl, Jon Husted,

Establishment Republicans like to think that the problems with the brand here in Ohio is solely the concern of former Governor Bob Taft but I think it goes beyond just that. Ohioans are fed up with the business-as-usual attitude that the Taft era politicans gave us and Jon Husted was a member of leadership at that time, so he is just as guilty as anybody. Does anybody really think that Chris Redfern and the Democrats won’t use Taft’s Speaker Husted as a prop for saying that the Ohio GOP hasn’t changed? I can see that ad already…and the Facebook, Yahoo, and Google splashes too…

What does Jon Husted offer besides more headaches? This is a legitimate question I am asking here…

No nose holding here; I will not vote for Husted, and will certainly vote for one of the socialist democrats that have taken over the state simply because it’s the same thing as voting for Husted. At least I know with one Redfern’s socialists I am going to get screwed. With Husted it’s all Rush Limbaugh talk, and then the prison intercourse.

Sorry, no nose holding here.

Tax Revenues Fall Short, Time to Cut State Government

7 February 2009 · Leave a Comment

It was reported yesterday in the Columbus Dispatch the State of Ohio took in “$60.5 million less in total taxes than expected, or 3.2 percent, leaving the state with an $85 million shortfall.” Knowing this Gov. Strickland is betting the farm on the Obama Administration’s great give away. This is real leadership in the face of adversity…right!

The time has come for the State to cut the size of our government infrastructure and start operating just as every Ohioan is doing. If you don’t have the money then stop spending on things you can’t afford. But what do you expect from a socialist. Unfortunately this is what our poor pathetic state wants of its leadership, hand outs and welfare.

Surely the Republicans led us squarely down this road, but like dimwits we voted for something far worse, a socialist. Well keep your fingers crossed and let’s hope Kasich gets the Ohio Republican Party back on track…but I am not hold my breath.

Redfern: Collectivist Elitist Acknowledged

28 August 2008 · Leave a Comment

There was a very telling event published on Thurber’s Thoughts, (writer Maggie Thurber), revealing the dark sentiments of the Ohio Democrat Party Chairman Chris Redfern.

Maggie reported that during a morning radio talk radio show from Toledo the host asked Chris Redfern why we “have to pay for other people’s homes and food when” we are stressed as well. Redfern replied to the host by stating, “…America needs to tax people to provide charitable services through the government because, without forcing people through taxation, most Americans wouldn’t help take care of the ‘least among us.’” Well it’s not so surprising he said what he did. I guess it’s the fact that he said it publicly and not down at Hilton Head on a DNC retreat. Nevertheless it is justly dark when you consider that he favors taking from your wages; end of story.

Sorry to say this is the typical mindset of a large majority Americans today; they have no concern for your wages, it’s theirs for the taking. Certainly Redfern is not so different from Bob Bennett (Ohio Republican Party Chairman). When was the last time anyone read a story or heard an interview where Bennett called for Ohio ending its income tax? There is a bill being introduced in the General Assembly phasing our income tax over the next ten years, but there is little traction and as long as Evans and Husted are opposed its unlikely to get pasted. The reason for this is simply that the Republicans along with the cohorts in the ODP do not want to give up the power they have over your wages.

Our best hope of reforming Ohio’s malignant economic problem and ending the income tax lies with the Libertarian Party of Ohio (LPO). The democrats have become the new Socialist Workers Party, and the Republicans aren’t far behind. Republicans shouldn’t get emotional about leaving, just move to where your ideals are best represented, and that’s in the LPO. If you want to have a state that believes in limited government and free markets then vote Libertarian; I know this is what this Conservative is going to do.
