Climategate in the News 27-Nov-2009

27 November 2009 · 3 Comments

Well, it shouldn’t be a surprise that “Climategate” isn’t getting much attention by the main stream media. When an event is even bigger and more insidious than even “Watergate,” you would think that real journalists would be fighting tooth and nail to get the story. But of course they’re not…

Nevertheless the alternative media is stepping up and filling void. This morning I made a quick survey of the news stories and blog posts that you might consider reading and then passing to your friends and family. This is one event the liberty movement must “run to the ground.” We must get the word out – strike while the fire’s hot.

First on the list is John Delingpole of the Telegrah (UK), who besides Alex Jones at Infowars, has the best and most update information coming from the MSM.

Climategate: five Aussie MPs lead the way by resigning in disgust over carbon tax
ustralia is leading the revolt against Al Gore’s great big AGW conspiracy – just as the Aussie geologist and AGW sceptic Professor Ian Plimer predicted it would.

ABC news reports that five frontbenchers from Australia’s opposition Liberal party have resigned their portfolios rather than follow their leader Malcolm Turnbull in voting with Kevin Rudd’s Government on a new Emissions Trading Scheme.
The Liberal Party is in turmoil with the resignations of five frontbenchers from their portfolios this afternoon in protest against the emissions trading scheme.

Climategate: what Gore’s useful idiot Ed Begley Jr doesn’t get about the ‘peer review’ process

Well no wonder he’s cross. His world is falling apart. Ed Begley Jr – now probably better known as a climate activist than for his role TV medical soap St Elsewhere – bought in so heavily to Big Al Gore’s Man-Made-Global-Warming meme, he actually became a vegan and is engaged in a competition with some other actor you won’t have heard of to see who can get the lowest Carbon Footprint.

Climategate: this is our Berlin Wall moment!

I’ve just had a great, very sympathetic interview about Climategate on LBC radio (London’s main commercial news and talk station) with Petrie Hosken. She told me she has been simply inundated with callers, all of them utterly unconvinced that human influence has made any significant on so-called “Global Warming”. She was desperate to get a few balancing calls from people who do believe in AGW but just couldn’t find any.

Can you imagine this happening a year ago? Or even a month ago? Until Climategate, we “Sceptics” were considered freaks – almost as bad as Holocaust deniers – beyond the pale of reasonable balanced discussion. Suddenly we’re the norm. Climategate has finally given us the chance to express openly what many of us secretly felt all along:

AGW is about raising taxes; increasing state control; about a few canny hucksters who’ve leapt on the bandwagon fleecing us rotten with their taxpayer subsidised windfarms and their carbon-trading; about the sour, anti-capitalist impulses of sandal-wearing vegans and lapsed Communists who loathe the idea of freedom and a functioning market economy.

As I wrote above besides Mr. Delingpole, Alex Jones has great depth of information and has been covering this lie longer than most.

Lord Monckton: Prosecute the Climate Change Criminals

Kurt Nimmo: The so-called researchers colluded to modify climate data in favor of their man-made climate change fairy tale.

BBC Climate Correspondent Was Forwarded CRU Emails Five Weeks …

Steve Watson: Further indication that “climategate” data was leaked by an inside source.

Hacked climate emails include calls for ‘Earth Government’ as …

Infowars: One of the hacked climate emails apparently calls for an Earth Government based upon a ‘democratic’ world government.

Buchanan: Climate Bill Is Transfer Of Wealth To World Government

Paul Joseph Watson: Former presidential advisor slams fearmongering that led to passage of nightmare legislation.

Climate Alarmists Finally Admit The Debate Is Not Over

Paul Joseph Watson: But establishment media organs continue to invoke South Park’s Officer Barbrady; “Move along, nothing to see here.”

From the American Spectator we have this story about our very own NASA’s refusal to provide data on global climate.

“Climate Gate” Development: CEI Files Notice of Intent to Sue NASA

Today, on behalf of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, I filed three Notices of Intent to File Suit against NASA and its Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), for those bodies’ refusal – for nearly three years – to provide documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act.

The information sought is directly relevant to the exploding “ClimateGate” scandal revealing document destruction, coordinated efforts in the U.S. and UK to avoid complying with both countries’ freedom of information laws, and apparent and widespread intent to defraud at the highest levels of international climate science bodies. Numerous informed commenters had alleged such behavior for years, all of which appears to be affirmed by leaked emails, computer codes and other data from the Climatic Research Unit of the UK’s East Anglia University.

All of that material and that sought for years by CEI go to the heart of the scientific claims and campaign underpinning the Kyoto Protocol, its planned successor treaty, “cap-and-trade” legislation and the EPA’s threatened regulatory campaign to impose similar measures through the back door.

From the Financial Post:

Lawrence Solomon: New Zealand’s Climategate

An agency of the New Zealand government has been cooking the books to create a warming trend where none exists, according to a joint research project by global warming skeptics at the Climate Conversation Group and the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition. The chief cook? Dr. Jim Salinger, considered one of the country’s top scientists, who began the graph in the 1980s when he was at the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in the UK. CRU, of course, has become ground zero of Climategate at Dr. Salinger has maintained close relations with CRU since, as seen in the Climategate emails.

Of concern and interest is this article from the Calgary Sun:

Why ‘climategate’ won’t stop greens

If you’re wondering how the robot-like march of the world’s politicians towards Copenhagen can possibly continue in the face of the scientific scandal dubbed “climategate,” it’s because Big Government, Big Business and Big Green don’t give a s*** about “the science.”

They never have.

What “climategate” suggests is many of the world’s leading climate scientists didn’t either. Apparently they stifled their own doubts about recent global cooling not explained by their computer models, manipulated data, plotted ways to avoid releasing it under freedom of information laws and attacked fellow scientists and scientific journals for publishing even peer-reviewed literature of which they did not approve.

From Russia Today, an interview with two scientist who say we were being misled-lied to:

From a British weblog, Burning Our Money:

Climategate
Warmism is not our specialist subject, but we really can’t let the scandal of Climategate pass without comment.

As you will know, emails and other material “liberated” from the publicly funded Climatic Research Institute at the University of East Anglia, show quite clearly that warmist “scientists” have been manipulating data on climate change in order to con the public into believing their religion. Their very expensive religion.

The emails talk explicity of data manipulation “tricks”, “hiding the decline” observed in actual temperature records, and suppressing dissident views (you can access the complete set here, but be warned – there are shedloads). It’s all straight out of the Manual of Stalinist Tractor Statistics. The emails also contain requests to other warmist “scientists” to destroy embarrassing records that might be subject to public disclosure under freedom of information laws (an inconvenience such people didn’t suffer in the USSR).

I plan on posting periodic surveys of the news stories concerning this scandal, so please check in from time to time for updates.

On another note and coming back to the idea of striking while the fire is hot, get on the stick and start emailing, writing, and calling your local, state and federal politicians demanding an investigation, and likewise start writing your community newspapers “letters to the editor” section to get this scandal out there. If the MSM isn’t going to cover the story because they are beholden to this corruption, then we need to get the word out ourselves.

The Myth of Objective Journalism

9 November 2009 · Leave a Comment

Thanks to the Southern Avenger.

I would add to the video content, this would be a great time to develop a “counter” newspaper, call it republican or the right side, to the leftist Columbus Dispatch. Not knowing the markets in Cincinnati, Cleveland or Toledo, I would think the chances of getting a newspaper off the ground and oriented toward freedom and liberty in the capital city might be possible, if not successful (not that the Ohio Republican Party have been oriented toward freedom and liberty in the last 20 years; I prefer to use the word in the literal context of the word republican, not the party).

Artificial scarcity and the anatomy of the 2009 swine flu pandemic

5 November 2009 · 1 Comment

Thanks to the good folks at the Ohio Freedom Alliance.

Here’s a small snippet from the Live Leaks site:

This video exposes how the corporate health industry met at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York and expressed concern that Americans are refusing the unpopular H1N1 swine flu vaccines.

This video also documents the strong case that the media is hyping an artificial scarcity of the vaccine to trick concerned parents into lining up like cattle for the flu shot.

Five minutes into this recording a participant recommends lying to the public to get them to take the shot. (Are you getting the picture?)

Note: I had trouble embedding the video; go to this link to listen to the conference.

Comrade Jimmy Carter Throws Out the Race Card

16 September 2009 · 1 Comment

Just when Jimmy Carter couldn’t look more foolish, he decides to throw out the race card.

U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson’s oldest son defended his father against a claim by former President Jimmy Carter that the congressman’s outburst during a speech by President Barack Obama was “based on racism.”

Responding to an audience question at a town hall at his presidential center in Atlanta, Carter said Tuesday that Wilson’s outburst was also rooted in fears of a black president.

“I think it’s based on racism,” Carter said. “There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president.”

My word, if that doesn’t take all. As far as I am concerned all the drama is nothing more than a smoke screen the MSM is using to divert our attention from the real issues, like the Great 00′ Depression, The Wall Street Swindle, The Attack of the Federal Reserve and of course The Endless War.

The puppet masters parade an old has-been President with strong socialist beliefs out in front of the cameras and he calls the Representative, Joe Wilson, a “racist;” how staged is that? No, this is all a smoke screen, a grand opportunity by the left to slow down the wave of discontentment growing in every quarter of America.

Well I don’t know about you, but I think the heat is getting ready to be turned up little higher…just something to think about.

Media Annoints Kennedy Saint

30 August 2009 · Leave a Comment

As I read the post at Repeal the 17th Amendment today and I became angered beyond belief after learning that Edward Kennedy was buried at Arlington National Cemetery. As my anger rose, my will to blog did as well, as such, I will share my comments from that blog.

This is pure and simple, the government media complex fabricating a “secular” saint that is truly the antithesis of a saint; truly the antithesis of anything any right minded man or woman would look to as a model. Ted Kennedy typifies what our nation has become and will become. God help us; God have mercy on his soul; God have mercy on our souls.

Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio…

Blinded by the Light of Iran

22 June 2009 · Leave a Comment

Here’s a challenge for you. Go to any leftist weblog and read the postings about Iran and then do the same thing on a neo-con site. I’ll bet you’ll see no difference in rhetoric. Why aren’t leftist and neo-cons concerned about Sudan, Venezuela or Zimbabwe, where life is significantly worst? Here’s why; both are conditioned to respond to the government media complex anytime their cages are rattled. At the end of the day both democrat socialists and republican neo-cons are imperialists, both are statists, and both care nothing about liberty and freedom.

InfoWars IS A Must

14 December 2008 · Leave a Comment

For the last fews years we have watched the US MSM spiral down the toilet, and as each year goes by, they loose more and more creditability. Much of the loss results from the industries general socialist bent and their collusion with the political class, but also their inability to conduct through and solid research. Interesting enough as the MSM belittles blogging the same people are turning to bloggers for their tips and ideas, and quite are few are actually sourcing blogs, go figure.

So the problem we are faced with is the acquisition of creditable information to make discerned decisions. While there are certainly websites that offer a good collection of various news and information (Breitbart, Drudge, What Really Happened), they are still tied to the MSM as their central supplier of news. However, there is one source that offers news and analysis above the “cut and paste” regurgitation, both in the audio and written format, that being the Alex Jones Radio Show and his companion website InfoWars.Com.

I came across The Alex Jones Show by happenstance a couple of years ago while I was driving through Athens Ohio. I happen to pick the radio station AM 770 in mid stride of one Alex’s interviews. The interview was a strange mix between the radio show “Coast to Coast” and the old 60 Minutes of the 1970s era. On my way back to Lancaster  I was able to continue receiving good reception without being drowned out by big Columbus AM radio stations; and I have been a fan since.

Now I have to tell you I don’t concur with everything Jones says, but what I have found is couple of items that keep me listening. First and foremost Jones brings to the air waves a wide array of subject matter experts on topics such as government, intelligence, occult, Illuminati, war, 9/11 truth, the United Nation, politics, health for example, that provide a wealth of information you are not going to get in the MSM. Some are well researched armatures, while some are professional researches that tend to write for academic journals. Jones doesn’t always agree with them, but he does give them the platform to offer real alternative points of views. This I believe is the central missing component in our current state of news and information. Now be prepared, Jones isn’t the best interviewer. Often he tends to talk over his guests, but in the end the guest gets most of their information out and you can go to other informational sources to follow up on the issue and find information from the guest, and Jones always links to the guest so it’s fairly easy to begin your own analysis.

Another item that keeps me coming back to Jones is his ability to “connect the dots.” Now I’ve worked in the analytical business for some time and I can tell you from my perspective he gets it right much of the time. He’s not perfect, but who is. Most intelligence analysts don’t get it right and if Jones gets it right 50% of the time he is doing better than our intelligence community. And he definitely is head and shoulders above the MSM; when was the last time you read any predictive analysis coming out of the New York Time? One point Jones always clearly makes is not to trust his word, but to seek out the facts and conclusions on your own; a point worth realizing in this day and age.

Now there are a few things I disagree with Jones, one being his subtle attacks on the Latin Rite, or the Catholic Church. Jones’ conclusion is certainly bent upon his own religious upbringing and biases (I won’t go into this right now). But I have to say that he always brings himself back to one simple and true statement for the audience; I paraphrase, that in all of these organizations, be it government or faiths or associations, there are good as well as nefarious people. So I generally get past his rants. Speaking of rants, he is certainly prone to them, but like any electronic media you have the choice to turn it to another station or simply off.

I listen to The Alex Jones Show as often as I can, I get the podcasts, and I go to his website almost everyday. The guy provides a mountain of information daily, he cares about liberty, and above all is not a nut case. He might not connect the dots as I would, but the bottom line is that he has “identified” many of the dots. That in itself is critical. Those that are on firmly in the fight for freedom and liberty cannot and should not go without tapping into Alex Jones. This nation’s wellbeing and our freedom is too important not to.
